Tell Me A Lie

I’ve been meaning to share this little ensemble with you all for quite some time, given the ridiculous repeat-offending that this top-half combination has endured…

Gorman Hotlips Shirt – Gorman Phoenix Jumper – Gorman Maritime Pant – GRAINE Meet Me At Degraves Clutch – Jennifer Hawkins for SIREN Keeko Heels from Wanted Shoes – 8 Other Reasons Tell Me A Lie Necklace in Silver (also comes in Rose Gold)

I’ve been meaning to share this little ensemble with you all for quite some time, given the ridiculous repeat-offending that this top-half combination has endured (you probably spotted it in snaps from a VOGUE breakfast I drank orange and guava juice at a while back).

I’m going to tell it to you straight: this knitted piece of Gorman is possibly the most versatile Winter piece I own. With a neckline that’ll show off a collar or a collarbone, sleeves chopped just above the wrist for significant bling parties or bare wrists, what appears to be a trillion greens, navies, greys and whites through the generous texture, and enough space for something warm underneath, I’m going to say that Lisa got it right. I have my mind set on a pair of navy leather shorts (that I’m not sure even exist) to join the Gorman party when it gets warm enough for bare legs. Thoughts?

Clearly I can’t get enough of this clutch – the nude leather manages to bring out the best in everything it graces with its sleek and razor sharp presence. Something similar can be said for this 8 Other Reasons beauty. Everyone is so busy being original with their standard collar necklaces that it never occurred to anyone but these guys to kick out the tips and create some interesting shapes against a shirt collar or nothing at all.

And now I want orange and guava juice. Almost as much as I want free sunglasses.
